Mercedes partners Debrett's for exclusive mail-outs

LONDON - Car manufacturer Mercedes Benz has formed an alliance in the UK with Debrett's, the publisher of the register of the upper classes, Debrett's Peerage and Baronetage.

The scope of the partnership will involve a range of marketing activities throughout the year, including a push for Mercedes' flagship four-door coupe model, the CLS AMG.

Claydon Heeley, Mercedes' direct marketing agency, has developed an exclusive CLS AMG mailing insert, which will be included in a forthcoming Debrett's Peerage & Baronetage mailing.

With recipients including the Queen and the aristocracy, the 30,000+ mailing conveys the style of the CLS in an understated way that Claydon Heeley hopes will resonate with the target market.

Art direction has been undertaken by Peter Harle, copywriting by Kristian Wheater, and account handling and planning by David Skerrett.
