The programme's launch was announced last week, and already more than 140 people have signed up to take part. The programme is free of charge, and intends to support idividuals working within the events industry. Mentors and mentees are paired together, allowing the programme to act as a support network for those involved.
Melissa Noakes said: "The feedback, rate of sign up and cross section of the industry represented has really excited us and indicates a real need for this programme."
The initial pairing exercise commences today (24 October), and the mentoring programme will officially start on 1 November and will last for six months. Due to the high level of interest, Elevate will host a forum and networking event for all those who miss the initial pairing.
Mentors have signed up from across the events industry, coming from the client side, agency side, creative, staffing, production supplier and venues. Some featured names include managing director of Ampllify, Lee Avery, head of events at L'Oreal, Alison Williams, and account director of Pretty Green, Jemma Parker.
Interested parties have until Wednesday 26 October to sign up to the scheme.
