LONDON - Mediaedge:cia (MEC) Manchester has picked up the £1.3m media planning and buying account for the Canaries Islands Tourist Board (CITB).

MEC will promote the islands in the UK across consumer magazines, national press and outdoor media.

CITB marketing director Elena Gonzalez stressed the importance of the British market, which represents a 37.5% share of the islands’ total media market.

This latest win for MEC Manchester follows its appointment to the UK Car Group and Lil-lets accounts earlier this month.
