
During the past 12 months the industry has bounced back from the recession with some excellent projects and innovative solutions and the Media Week Awards will once again be celebrating this work on Thursday 27 October at the Grovesnor House Hotel.
With more than 250 entries already received this year's event is set to be the best yet in terms of the diversity and quality of the work entered.
To ensure the awards represent the evolving media landscape the and a number of new ones have been included this year.
These changes include:
- New definitions for media owners and agencies to enable the event to honour launch, relaunch and long-term work.
- Opening popular categories, Agency of the Year and Sales Team of the Year, to entry.
- Dividing Collaboration into large and small categories.
- Splitting the research sector into three different categories – Data Innovation, Econometrics and Research Insight – to reflect its increasing importance in the media process.
- Dividing the Rising Star award into three separate disciplines to recognise talent in agency, owner and entrepreneur roles.
- The addition of a new category, Media Creativity, to recognise creative thinking for business problems.
