Earlier this week, M&S took on rival Boot's by launching a £2 meal deal comprising a sandwich, a packet of crisps and a drink. The deal is running until 13 April and was publicised in editions of free newspaper Metro.
During the economic downturn the retailer has also offered customers the chance to ‘Dine in for £10'. The offer included two main courses, a dessert and wine.
