The tourist board for Liverpool and the company producing the Liverpool Boat Show have formed a marketing agreement that will see them promote each other.

The Tourist Board for Liverpool City Region (TMP) will advertise in the UK and overseas promoting the Marine Industry Events (MIE) event as well as the region in general.

"Liverpool Boat Show has the potential to be a major event, not just for the city region but the UK," said TMP chief executive Lorraine Rogers.

"It makes sense to pool resources with partners and afford a bigger and better campaign to promote the event and the City Region."

, showcasing hundreds of super yachts, power boats and historic ships. Approximately 400,000 people are expected to attend the event, which will also feature a Sea Shanty Festival, Comedy Festival, Tall Ships, family events, trade exhibitions, sailing regatta and watersports demonstrations.
