The campaign, created by DLKW, will break on 1 March in Sunday supplements of national newspapers including The Sunday Times and The Observer. The campaign will also air on radio stations including Classic FM, Heart 106.2 and LBC.

The press ads feature thought-provoking statements such as ‘Sometime the best time to laugh is when you are dying’, to highlight Marie Curie Nurses’ role in looking after their patients’ happiness as well as their physical needs.

The radio activity will feature Stephen Mangan, best known for his role as Guy Secretan in TV series Green Wing. Footage of Mangan playing the guitar for the radio ad will be seeded on Facebook, while the track will be available on Marie Curie’s website; visitors will be encouraged to make a donation in return for downloading the song.

Separately, the charity is in the process of securing a digital agency to work on its website.

Marie Curie provides free nursing care to cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes. It aims to double the number of patients it cares for over the next three years.
