Manchester magazine relaunching next month

LONDON - Manchester celebrity and lifestyle title The Magazine is relaunching next month, with a new format and improved distribution.

The Magazine, which was acquired by the Alvaston Media Group in 2006, will re-launch in mid-May with a new 100-page format, priced at £2.60. It will be ABC-audited.

Another Alvaston Media company, Manchester-based full service agency Creation ADM, will assist with the launch.

Nicola Smith, recently appointed managing director of The Magazine, said it now had the financial backing to re-position the title to boost both advertising and readership.

Jenni Shuttleworth, previously at Jigsaw Media, will edit the magazine, with Tom Mason as deputy editor.

Tony Steenson will take on a consultancy role, while Danny Phillips has been appointed financial director.
