Creation wins Cafe Rouge design business

LONDON - Creation ADM, the Manchester-based ad agency, has won the design account for restaurant chain Cafe Rouge following a pitch against undisclosed London agencies.

Creation's work covers a range of design and rebranding projects including new menus, posters, window dressing, promotional offers and postcards.

There are also further plans to help the Tragus, the parent company of the chain, develop and extend "the whole Cafe Rouge experience".

Creation has also recently completed a management buyout from Alvaston Media.

Gary Young, joint managing director of Creation, was appointed in March as creative director of the agency, having previously built up and sold a creative shop in Newcastle.

Young and his fellow managing director Rowan Stone's ambition was to buy the agency and in late spring the Alvaston board agreed to sell.

Young said: "The Cafe Rouge business is great news not only for us here at Creation but also for Manchester-based agencies as a whole, proving that we can compete with, and beat, the London-based creative groups when pitching for national accounts like this."

Creation's clients include catalogue retailer La Redoute, Rentsmart, Aria and Newcastle Building Society.
