Global monthly unique visitors to MailOnline grew to 199,414,263 in December 2014, an increase of 1.4% month on month and 23.6% year on year – 38 million more than it reached in the same month in 2013.
In December 2014 the site attracted, on average, 12.2 million global daily uniques and 12,243,627 daily unique visitors to the website and apps, an increase of 24.8% year on year.
MailOnline UK recorded more than 60 million monthly unique visitors and more than 5 million average daily unique visitors for the third month.
Results for December also show there were 61,072,052 monthly unique visitors in the UK across the website and apps, an increase of 20.7% year on year.
Average daily unique visitors in the UK reached 5,002,765, 21.5% more than in December 2013.
The publisher reports video views have also surged. MailOnline recorded 59,683,165 global views in December, an increase of 71.5% year on year.
Global monthly and daily unique visitors to its iPhone and Android Apps in December increased 3.2% month on month. Daily unique visitors to the platforms hit 593,213, a growth of 1.9% month on month.
The Android App received 899,977 global monthly unique visitors in December and a record 383,034 global average daily unique visitors, 0.8% more than was recorded in November.
