Maggies shortlist: vote now for cover of the year

LONDON - Empire magazine's Avatar cover and Wallpaper's Karl Lagerfeld-designed peelable cover are among those battling it out for the crown of magazine cover of the year at this year's Maggies awards.

The Maggies winners are based on a national poll conducted by the online magazine and newspaper subscription business iSubscribe.

The categories have expanded this year to include entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, sports, specialist, youth, technology and trade magazines.

A judging panel, including Barry McIlheney, chief executive of the PPA and Eve Pollard, author and journalist, has chosen a shortlist of five covers per category.

Over the next six weeks, the shortlisted covers will be put to the public vote at to find the winning cover in each of the eight categories.
