The Marketing Agencies Association (MAA) has partnered with StartUp Britain to run the competition as part of Marketing 4 StartUp Britain Week for the second year running.
Five entrepreneurs will have the chance to pitch to agencies for the chance of working for them on a marketing and event strategy for a year. Agencies will be paired to the winning businesses depending on what kind of campaign they need.
The MAA is calling for entries now and the final five entrants will have ten minutes to impress a panel on 16 July before the winner is announced.
Ian Millner, chairman of the MAA and joint chief executive of Iris said: "In spite of the political mood of the country changing, it is our view that still not enough is being done to materially and urgently improve the conditions for entrepreneurs in Britain.
"Action is needed to help enable this essential group of people if we are to address any long term growth agenda. The MAA believes in activism, and that British marketing has so much to offer the evolution of the British economy. Having done a startup myself, I know how vital it is that young entrepreneurs are given the advice, encouragement and inspiration necessary to get them started."
Last year, Safetray – a device to prevent dropped catering trays – was picked out of the 88 entries to win the services of Iris for a year.
Runner up Rocktails, a brand of frozen vodka cocktails, worked with Pulse Group.
