Troubled UK retailer Marks & Spencer is to announce a major shift in online strategy today with the signing of e-commerce deals with beeb.com, Microsoft Network, Telewest and BSkyB’s Open digital interactive services.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – Troubled UK retailer Marks & Spencer is to announce a major shift in online strategy today with the signing of e-commerce deals with beeb.com, Microsoft Network, Telewest and BSkyB’s Open digital interactive services.

The high-street retailer is believed to have agreed three-year deals to be one of the key retailers on the soon-to-be-launched MSN e-commerce and beeb.com sites.

It has struck long-term agreements to appear on BSkyB’s Open interactive shopping channel and Telewest’s upcoming interactive e-commerce service.

The deals represent a major shift in M&S’s strategy, which has traditionally concentrated on its website and home-shopping catalogue.
