CMW has been tasked with developing a global positioning for the car as well as creating a wide range of marketing materials for use internationally.

The car company, which was founded in 1948, gave car-lovers a glimpse of 'Project Eagle' at the 78th annual Geneva International Motor Show by exhibiting some of the technology that will be used in the model. Its chassis, an all-new design, is due to be unveiled at the London Motor Show in July. The model will go on sale early in 2009.

Although Lotus has divulged few details about the car, it has said that it will be higher-spec than its Elise, Exige and Europa models.
