Losses rise at Scoot.com

Scoot.com, the UK telephone and internet directory service, reported increased losses of £16.6m for the nine months to June 30, up 56% from £10.6m for the same period in 1999.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – Scoot.com, the UK telephone and internet directory service, reported increased losses of £16.6m for the nine months to June 30, up 56% from £10.6m for the same period in 1999.

However, shares in the company closed more than 2% higher on Thursday, following the news that Scoot’s UK subscriber base had risen 16% compared with the second quarter. Numbers are expected to climb steadily throughout 2000.
