Cahoots

THE PITCH: Late-night bar Cahoots opened on 5 March, and aims to transport guests back in time to the post-war 1940s. 

SPACE TO HIRE: The venue, styled as a disused Tube station with dancing and singalongs around an old piano, holds 150.

DON'T MISS: The concept for the bar was inspired by actual events that occurred in post-war Britain.

Library

THE PITCH: The private members' club is in a five-storey townhouse with a nightclub on the ground floor. It opened in June.

SPACE TO HIRE: Various spaces, including the ground floor with a bar for up to 150 guests, the mezzanine level for up to 90 and a balcony and terrace area for up to 30.

DON'T MISS: The venue offers live entertainment, as well as all-day dining.

The Canvas


THE PITCH: Opened in October, The Canvas is a social enterprise venue in Shoreditch.

SPACE TO HIRE: The basement holds 60 people, while the cafe and bar area can be hired for up to 90 across both spaces.

DON'T MISS: The walls are a blank canvas - the venue invites visitors to scrawl their thoughts on them.

Library Room at the Royal Society

THE PITCH: The Royal Society, a fellowship of many of the world's most distinguished scientists, converted its existing library into a new space for events. It opened in September.

Space to hire: The Library Room, overlooking The Mall, caters for between 50 and 100 guests. It joins the 12 existing rooms at the venue, catering for ten to 300.

DON'T MISS: The Grade I-listed venue has one of the most prestigious addresses in London: 6-9 Carlton Terrace.
