Thousands of cyclists of all levels jumped on their bikes to cycle around some of the capital's top landmarks in a traffic-free environment. These included the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, Parliament Square, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

The idea of the event, in which Mayor of London Boris Johnson took part, was to encourage occasional and lapsed cyclists of all ages and abilities to get back on their bikes.
