"We created Open Weekend as part of the Cultural Olympiad, to enable people to share in the countdown celebrations towards London 2012 but also be inspired by the Games to discover new interests and develop their talents."
The events form part of the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) "Cultural Olympiad", which will celebrate British culture leading up to the 2012 Games.
The first Open Weekend took place last year to launch the Cultural Olympiad.
London 2012 Open Weekend is supported by BP, premier partner of the Cultural Olympiad. It will run every July between now and 2012, marking the countdown to the Opening Ceremony of the Games.
