The organisational committee has announced four tiers for bid sponsors: premier partners contributing £1m or more; major partners paying £500,000 to £1m; bid champions, who will pay £150,000 to £500,000; and bid supporters paying £15,000 to £150,000.
The committee plans to unveil its sponsors in May. A London 2012 spokesman confirmed it was "looking across the board" for potential supporters. He added that International Olympic Committee sponsors are not open to the bid team at present.
The IOC's top partners include McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Kodak and Samsung.
The UK team has no premier partners in place, but has signed up Microsoft, Intel and Xerox as bid supporters.
