Loaded to give away DVD of strippers with latest issue

LONDON - IPC's Loaded is to include a cover DVD with its June issue featuring women stripping, just days after Sainsbury's said it is to conceal the covers of a raft of lads' magazines after complaints about images of semi-naked models.

The magazine is giving away the DVD as part of its "casting couch" franchise, which includes regular photoshoots featuring amateur models.

The 18-certificate, hour-long DVD features 10 models stripping as well as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.

It also includes a link-up with the magazine's website , which is offering a three-digit code to unlock further footage showing the models in the bath.

A spokeswoman for IPC said the giveaway for the issue, which goes on sale this week, had been in the planning stage for some time and was not in any way getting back at Sainsbury's, which is also looking to cover up titles including IPC stablemate Nuts, Emap's weekly Zoo and monthly market leader FHM.

According to latest ABCs, the men's magazine sector saw a 1.4% drop, with Loaded down 2.1% to 232,001, but performing better than lads' mag rivals, including FHM, which fell by 10.6%, and the Dennis-owned Maxim, which was down 16%.
