Lloyds shortlists MEC and ZenithOptimedia for £80m media

LONDON - Lloyds Banking Group, the financial company created by the merger of Lloyds TSB with HBOS, has shortlisted Mediaedge:cia and Lloyds TSB incumbent ZentihOptimedia to go head to head to compete for its £80 million media account.

Vizeum, which was the incumbent on the £36 million HBOS account, and OMD which also pitched for the business, have been knocked out of the running.

ZenithOptimedia handles the £44 million Lloyds business.

The review was called in March is year and is led by Joe Clift, the head of brand and customer marketing at Lloyds and coordinated by the pitch management consultancy Media Sense.
