Taking place over four days and nights, between 29 October and 1 November, the event will feature a number of music acts who will headline evening concerts in the venue’s main auditorium.

This includes Robert Plant, best known as lead singer of Led Zeppelin, Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, and American musician and singer Bobby Womack.

Alongside these performances, several spaces in the venue will be used for other activities and events throughout the four-day festival.

Four rooms will feature a variation of one-off intimate sessions featuring blues and soul inspired acts, including James Hunter, Marcus Bonfanti, Georgie Fame, Huey Morgan and Dr Feelgood.

Music journalist David Hepworth will be conducting ‘in conversation with... David’ discussions with music fans, artists and broadcasters, who will share their ultimate vinyl collections.

North America Guitars will showcase some of their instruments from a unique collection of handmade acoustic and electric guitars, while the Royal Albert Hall will be opening its vault of memorabilia featuring rock and roll artefacts from Eric Clapton, The Stones, BB King and Muddy Waters.

Various food and bar stalls, merchandise and stands will be open daily throughout Bluesfest 2013.

Leo Green, festival director, said: "I am thrilled that Bluesfest London 2013 line-up includes some true icons of blues and soul, as well as some of the greatest artists the following generations have to offer."
