The body, which launches today (12 March) at International Confex, was initiated following a meeting last year at London & Partners of twenty senior creatives.
It will be chaired by Jez Paxman, creative strategy director at Live Union, and will include representatives from agencies George P Johnson, Smyle and Jack Morton. Live Experience Creatives is being supported by industry association the International Special Events Society.
Board members include Gareth Dimelow, executive planning director at George P Johnson; Matt Margetson, creative director for Smyle; Tim Leighton, joint head of creative at Jack Morton London; and Jane Hague, president of the ISES UK chapter and head of corporate account development at Excel London.
Paxman said: "Unlike other creative sectors live events and experiential creatives have no forum through which to meet. We aim to change that by providing the opportunity for junior designers, freelancers and creative leads to come together, share ideas and showcase great work."
Live Experience Creatives will be hosting its first event in May and will aim to promote the industry to students on creative courses, as well as working with awards programmes to recognise creativity and establishing a portfolio sharing resource for freelance talent.
