The centre, which is home to British Gymnastics, Archery GB, the English Institute of Sport and the Battle Back Centre, received the funding from National Lottery earlier this year and now provides a new conference and event space for corporate and team building activities.
Built in 1831 as the hunting lodge and family retreat for the Duke of Sutherland, the venue has been transformed offering 13 conference and meeting rooms and a 166-seat lecture theatre and exhibition hall.
The Queens Hall accommodation has also undergone refurbishment and now offers room for up to 50 guests, adding to the revamped 54 bedrooms in Kent Hall. The centre’s largest meeting and event space, Ford Hall, is now a conference venue, while the centre's 100-acre grounds also feature dedicated space for marquees.
As well as its event facilities, the venue has seen a transformation of its sport centre, which includes a new five-court sports hall, changing pavilions and a refurbishment of its existing sports hall for wheelchair sports.
Keith Thomas, managing director Serco Leisure, who manages the centre, said: "Working in genuine partnership with Sport England, Lilleshall has seen a transformation through major refurbishments and the construction of new facilities enabling us, as operators, to significantly enhance the offer and experience to all our customers."
