Lida wins Telewest business-to-business account

LONDON - Integrated agency Lida has been appointed to work on Telewest's business-to-business communications account after winning the account in a shootout against Harrison Troughton Wunderman.

Lida's first task is to support the launch of Telewest's Collaborative Working service, which enables businesses' employees to communicate and work more efficiently inside and outside the office.

The agency is developing a campaign targeting senior management at medium to large companies. Marketing activity will run across a variety of channels, including direct mail, online, telemarketing and email.

Clare Grant, Telewest director of marketing, said: "We were very impressed with Lida, not only for its innovative ideas but also by the strength of individuals making up the team and its entrepreneurial flair. It is this mix that convinced us Lida would be able to work with us, not for us, in order to maximise the results of our B2B activity."

Lisa Thomas, Lida's chief executive and founder, said: "This is a fantastic win for us as it cements our expertise in the B2B arena and gives us a lot of scope to engage Telewest's potential customers creatively -- something which is often found lacking in business-to-business marketing."
