Lida lands Mini account from BMW following EHS Brann withdrawal

LONDON - BMW has appointed Lida, the direct arm of M&C Saatchi, to handle direct marketing for Mini, following a three-month review.

EHS Brann, which worked on Mini's successful relaunch in 2001, withdrew from the pitch in January.

A BMW spokeswoman denied that a decision had been made yet, adding that it was 'still under negotiation'.

Both Lida and EHS declined to comment on the pitch, which has been handled by the AAR. The review does not affect Mini's advertising business, which is handled by WCRS.

Lida is expected to build a customer relationship management programme for Mini, including digital work.
