Liberty in search for agency to make short political film

LONDON - Civil liberties charity Liberty is looking for a creative agency to make a short film on the 'Politics of Fear' to highlight what it says are attacks on human rights in the UK in the run-up to the 2005 General Election.

Liberty wants the "Politics of Fear" campaign to alert the public to government issues infringing civil liberties, including anti-terror laws, ID cards, treatment of asylum seekers, house arrest without trial and the right to protest.

In addition, the campaign will consider "intelligence" from Guantanamo Bay and other places of torture.

The charity wants the film to last between five and 10 minutes and plans to get it widely distributed on DVD.

The organisation has said it "can not afford to pay much, if at all", but if any agencies or creatives are interested in working with the human rights group they should get in contact with Liberty director of development Steven Montgomery.
