Letters from Harvard tell freshmen to prepare for rape

GS&P and Prettybird pay for placement in clientless campaign to raise awareness of campus sexual assault

High school seniors opening their college acceptance letters get a different message than they expected in this sobering video and print campaign from Goodby Silverstein & Partners and production company Prettybird. The students land a spot at the school of their dreams, but the letters become uncomfortably frank about the minimal protections the school offers to prevent campus rape. A full-page ad featuring one of the letters ran on Saturday in Harvard’s campus newspaper, The Crimson, paid for by GS&P. ECD Margaret Johnson and Prettybird president Kerstin Emhoff worked on the campus sexual assault documentary "The Hunting Ground." An ad will also run in USA Today.
