Lego strikes sponsorship deal with Disney XD channel

LONDON - Lego Games has signed a deal to sponsor the Disney's newly launched kids channel, Disney XD, giving the toy brand exposure via a series of on-air promotions.

The partnership,negotiated and managed by Carat Sponsorship, will see Lego Games run on-air competitions promoting two of its new games - Creationary and Lunar Command.

Disney XD, which launched on 31 August and features a variety of live action and animated programmes aimed at boys aged between six and 14, will carry Lego idents and competitions throughout September.

The campaign is being managed by Carat Sponsorship's Rob Honeywood.

According to Disney, XD has attained "record viewing figures" since launch and has become the second most-watched kids' TV channel for boys.

Creationary is available to buy in Argos and Lunar Command in Toys R Us.
