The deal, which includes sponsorship credits on ITV1 and ITV2 as well as all repeats of 'Trisha' on ITV1, is the show's first since June 2001, when the government's Bitesize training courses took out a short-term sponsorship of the show.
Granada Enterprises, which brokered the deal, has been seeking a sponsorship package for the US-style talk show, which sees guests spilling their secrets to a studio audience, since May 2002. It is reported to have been looking for a six-month contract worth £1m.
The deal was negotiated by Mark Eaves at Drum PHD and Leigh Moscrip at Granada.
Granada Enterprises sells TV airtime and sponsorship on behalf of Granada, LWT, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees, Anglia, Meridian, UTV, Border Television and Irish terrestrial channel TV3.
