"Jonny Sweet's "Mostly About Arthur" is a one man character comedy show, a strange elegy to Sweet's fictional late brother Arthur.
At times bizarre yet adorable, Jonny's stand up persona reminded me of a privately educated Alan Partridge but with the addition of a limp, a forced smile and awkward, stammering speech.
From the very start of the show, Sweet is warm and engaging, welcoming each member of the audience individually with handshakes, hugs and kisses before showing them to their seats. He then, through the use of a PowerPoint presentation, strange anecdotes, blurb readings and a re-enactment of a scene in a coffee shop (where members of the audience are brought on stage to become characters and props) takes us on a unique journey of Arthur's life.
How he came up with the concept demonstrates his creativity and eccentric imagination.
With various TV projects in the pipeline including a role as a young David Cameron in More4 drama documentary 'when Boris met Dave', it seems Jonny has a bright future ahead of him."
