"Went to see John Bishop's show 'Elvis has left the building' last night, it was brilliant...

Bishop's self-deprecating observations of life as a 42-year-old dad with teenage boys, and always failing to impress them, engaged the whole audience and made them warm to the scouser.

His best moment was a hilarious corporate work reference in the shape of his recent awards job at 'The Kitchen Utensil Awards 2009'. "Think of all the implements in your kitchen; how many of them would you give an award to?" he asked. "Handheld Kitchen Appliance Award - what else are you going to hold an appliance with?"

Already an established comedian with a minor role in Channel 4's Skins, and having made regular appearances on panel show 8 out of 10 cats, he may be a bit beyond presenting the Kitchen Utensil Awards 2010."
