Langham Works poaches Carlson's Mark Hewitt

LONDON – Langham Works, the newly formed independent marketing agency, has poached Carlson's group account manager Mark Hewitt as partner.

While at Carlson, Hewitt worked on accounts including Learndirect, UK Online for Business, Britannia Building Society, Citroen UK, Eurotunnel and Fitness First. He has also worked on the client side for Toyota GB.

"Langham Works offers an exciting career opportunity. The whole structure of the agency is conductive to growth, not just the business, but of the clients and most importantly, the staff," Hewitt said.

Hywel Davies, partner at Langham Works, said that Hewitt's arrival demonstrated that young independent agencies like it are able to offer much more to talented individuals than larger counterparts.

"We are confident that we will attract many more people," he said.

Since its inception toward the end of last year, Langham Works has created campaigns for Chrysler Jeep UK, Tesco Personal Finance and The Daily Telegraph.

DLCF, formerly Davies Little Cowley Fiddes, merged with MBO London, the Havas subsidiary, to form the integrated agency in November 2003. Hewitt is the start-up's sixth partner, joining Jeremy Taylor, ex-MBO, and Tim Sykes, Gareth John, Don Cowley and Hywel Davies, all from DLCF.
