The 100% recycled and recyclable packaging is illustrated with pictograms to highlight the benefits of the eco-friendly, cost-effective batteries.
The WWF-endorsed range also carries the iconic WWF panda logo to reassure consumers they have found the green battery brand of choice.
In addition, the packaging is colour-coded to help consumers find the right product. Yellow is "multi usage", for everyday appliances that are not used intensively, such as remote controls; red is "multi usage+", for appliances that require extra power or are used more intensively, such as radios; and blue is "performance", for high drain appliances or heavily used electronics such as digital cameras, GPS and mp3 players.
Other features include a round shape for a softer look, with the brand name on the side for easier identification. It also has a white background, aiming to stand out from the competition.
Peter Keen, managing director of Uniross, the number one rechargeable battery brand in the UK, said: "Our market research showed that the environment is the number one priority for consumers when it comes to buying batteries."
The range is currently available to buy at Argos and Battery Logic, and will be stocked in John Lewis, Asda, B&Q and Amazon in the coming weeks. The complete range includes 14 different packs of batteries and 16 different chargers, starting from £4.99.
