Lambie-Nairn breakaway poaches three more staff

LONDON - Dunning Eley Jones, formed last year as a breakaway from Lambie-Nairn, has raided three more staff from its former employer, including senior designer Matt Penney.

Penney was a senior designer at Lambie-Nairn for nine years and has worked on some of the company's most successful television identity projects including Discovery Kids, Alhurra and BBC Three, which was recently awarded a Silver D&AD.

Also joining is Ed Walker, who worked alongside Penney at Lambie-Nairn working on Discovery Kids, Astro and D&AD's Bloodbank, the online showcase of new creative talent.

Longest serving of the new recruits is Cathie McCabe, who has spent 11 years at Lambie-Nairn as marketing manager, overseeing all of the company's marketing and PR activities and will continue in this role for Dunning Eley Jones.

Brian Eley, one of the founders of Dunning Eley Jones, said: "We are really excited that Matt and Ed have joined the company. They bring with them a wealth of experience in both screen and print design -- and Cathie's appointment will ensure that our name is out there."

Since its formation last year, Dunning Eley Jones has primarily worked with UKTV to unify its portfolio of channels. It continues to work with UKTV and has several new projects under way.

Dunning Eley Jones was formed in June 2003 by Liz Dunning, Brian Eley and Marcus Jones as a breakaway from Lambie-Nairn.
