Kurt Geiger set to unveil first e-commerce website

LONDON - Shoe brand Kurt Geiger is to launch its first e-commerce website, which has been created by Design UK.

Previously, the website has existed to promote the brands, but the new will now sell shoes from the Kurt Geiger, KG and Carvela ranges. It is due to go live later this month.

Design UK has created it to make shopping easy and to maximise customer conversion online. The site takes into account distinct customer psychologies such as the different shopping behaviours of men and women and allows bespoke targeting, messaging, offer and competition content.

At the same time, it pushes the Kurt Geiger brand as a must-have luxury, with straplines such as "worship your feet" to build on the creative philosophy that feet are a thing of beauty and should only be dressed in the best.

Kurt Geiger CEO Neil Clifford said: "We chose Design UK to create the customer interface of the site because of its commitment to and understanding of our brand and customer base. The team grasped the concept of democratic luxury and have created a desirable shopping destination that is exclusive without alienating any of our customers."

Kurt Geiger is the number one luxury shoe retailer in the UK and is sold through a network of more than 100 department store concessions including Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty, Fenwick, House of Fraser and most recently, Le Printemps in Paris, as well as 12 standalone retail outlets.

Design UK has also worked for fashion brands such as Chloe and Diesel.
