The rowing star could be set to appear in a new television campaign for the relaunched Kleenex for Men. The brand's new packaging is already on shelves and a television ad campaign is due to break in December, although creative has not been decided on at this stage. Pinsent appeared in a campaign earlier this year for MG Rover, based around the fact he had three gold medals and Rover offered a three-year warranty -- a premise that is no longer valid now that Pinsent has four gold medals.
While the promotional opportunities are likely to roll in for high-profile gold medallists such as track stars Kelly Holmes and Darren Campbell, marathon runner Paula Radcliffe, who dropped out of two races during the Olympics, has seen an offer from Quaker Oats to star in its ads withdrawn. The strapline for the Oatso Simple campaign was to be "Helps you go the distance".
