Cups will be cast aside in favour of dishes featuring coffee as the key ingredient. The event, to be held at La Cucina Caldesi Cookery School and led by food writer and chef Ursula Ferrigno, takes place on 12 April as part of UK Coffee Week.
In a hands-on evening, guests will help prepare the dishes before sitting down as a group to enjoy the meal over a glass of wine. The three courses have been curated by the Ferrigno to perfectly partner the acidic tones of coffee with savoury meats and sweet dessert in both traditional and surprising flavour combinations.
Starters will feature coffee marinated tuna steaks on a bed of greens, the main will be caramelized coffee spiced chicken with coffee roast root vegetables, followed by a classic tiramisu for dessert. All profits from ticket sales will go to Project Waterfall; an initiative developed by the Allegra Foundation to bring clean water to the communities which grow our coffee.
