Cowell has created a role for Brook on ITV2 spin-off show 'Britain's Got More Talent', which looks behind the scenes of the main show. It is similar to the role fulfilled by Holly Willoughby on the ''.
Brook, who has reportedly not yet accepted, would be working as a roving reporter alongside the show's host, ex-children's TV presenter Stephen Mulhern.
Cowell said: "I've offered Kelly a part on my ITV2 show. I actually liked her -- she was good, she was fine.
"The problem was not her. '' just doesn't work with four people. She is a warm person, who looks great and is very enthusiastic and that is why I spoke to her about the ITV2 show. I hope she'll accept."
Her arrival was rumoured to have upset regulars Pier Morgan and Amanda Holden and surprised hosts Ant and Dec, who were only told about Brook joining the panel minutes before auditions started.
Brook, who signed a £200,000 contract to become the fourth judge, received her payment in full, despite working just six days on the show.
In 2005 she hosted 'Celebrity Love Island' with Patrick Kielty but was replaced in the second series by Fearne Cotton.
Her career has been dogged by such incidents having famously been dropped from 'The Big Breakfast' earlier.
