
The 60-second ad runs for a week followed by a 40-second version until the end of October.
Plans to support the commercial include targeted direct-marketing activity, POS and online with pre-roll ads and seeding to entertainment blogs and forums. The aim is to promote the Freeview+ service that launched last year and allows consumers to rewind and record live TV.
Beattie McGuiness Bungay created the advert, which stars the likes of Katie Price and Alan Whicker visiting a Freeview customer's house. It will run under the slogan ‘get the best TV delivered to your door, without any bills'.
