Jones becomes deputy PPA chair

Chief executive of Reed Business Information, Keith Jones, has been made the new deputy chairman of the Periodical Publishers Association.

Jones has previously chaired PPA's business-to-business media committee. He has been a member of PPA's main board since 1996.

He was appointed chief executive of Reed Business Information in May 1995, having previously been managing director of IPC's Specialist Group.

Jones said: "I am delighted to take such a senior role in PPA. I look forward to supporting the chairman Derek Carter of E-map Communications and following the work of my predecessor Sally Cartwright, of Hello!"

Ian Locks, chief executive of PPA said: "It's a great honour for PPA to have such a dedicated and experienced person as Keith Jones as deputy chairman and chairman elect.

"The experience of Keith in both consumer and business-to-business publishing is invaluable.

"I am confident that he will provide strong support for our chairman, Derek Carter, in what promises to be a challenging 12 months."
