JHP creates new-look stores for lingerie retailer

LONDON - Design agency JHP has created a new design concept for Myla's lingerie boutiques and concessions.

JHP was tasked with creating an intimate and luxurious shopping environment for customers, while maintaining the character and personality of the brand.

Myla has seven outlets in London, including boutiques in Notting Hill and concessions in Harrods, Selfridges and House of Frazer. It also has six stockists in the US, as well as a boutique in New York, and six stockists in Russia.

Key features of the new layout include a sculptural centrepiece, which will showcase the brand's main fashion ranges, as well as silk fabric padded walls and reflective bronze mirrored surfaces.

Franceska Luther, creative director at Myla, said: "Our new store design achieves the irresistible combination of luxury and sensuality, which lies at the heart of the Myla brand."

The new lingerie floor in Harrods, which opened in late November, showcases Myla's latest concession design.

Raj Wilkinson, JHP joint managing director, said: "The design is wickedly feminine and we believe customers will enter the Myla world with a luxurious glint in their eye and be immediately transported to the world of 'new boudoir'."

Myla plans to continue its expansion strategy with a second US boutique opening in New York in early 2008.
