The ad, created by AKQA, is part of a global campaign aimed at starting an ‘energy revolution'.
The agency AKQA partnered with Amsterdam post-production house The Ambassadors to use 3D modelling techniques so that Kennedy appears to be delivering the 21st century message.?
Martin Lloyd, Greenpeace International communications manager for climate, said: "To deliver this revolutionary message requires the kind of authority that our current leaders have not provided.
"So we looked to history and chose JFK, who achieved the seemingly impossible when he put a man on the moon."
