Elliot Moss, the director of business development at Mishcon de Reya, is a former LBC radio presenter.
The station's pitch for the 'Jazz Shapers' show is that it will share music from the risk takers, leaders and influencers of jazz, soul, funk and blues, alongside interviews by Moss with their equivalent in the business world – entrepreneurs who have defined and shaped business categories and ways of operating.
The sponsorship was negotiated directly between the station and the law firm.
Moss said: "Many of our clients are entrepreneurs – bold, trailblazing individuals who have defied convention and shaped the business world.
"Much like the risk takers and influencers of Jazz, they have been able to change the game. We look forward to bringing this show with its unique mix of music and interviews to the Jazz FM audience."
Mike Vitti, Jazz FM’s head of programming, said: "The synergy between our two brands is perfect, Mishcon de Reya pride themselves on their dynamic and sophisticated client base and we feel the same about our listeners. Creating a bespoke programme based around the principle of 'movers and shapers' from the world of music and business is an innovation in itself."
'Jazz Shapers with Mishcon de Reya' will be broadcast every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm for 26 weeks.
Jazz FM launched on the national DAB platform in March 2011. The digital-only station relaunched in October 2008 under licence from Guardian Media Group, which bought the Jazz FM stations in 2002, but rebranded them as Smooth in 2005.
