Under the five-figure deal, Yamaha will sponsor Helen Mayhew's weekly show, which will be renamed the Yamaha Weekly Jazz Jam.
The show will include a guide to live jazz events around the country and will feature new UK musical talent.
Since leaving Jazz FM five years ago, Mayhew has presented jazz and classical programmes on BBC Radio 3, rival jazz radio station The Jazz and most recently Classic FM, before returning to Jazz FM when it was relaunched last year.
Jazz FM has signed up brands such as Pizza Express, the Financial Times and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, since Richard Wheatley agreed terms to buy the radio station from owner, The Local Radio Company in April.
TLRC set up a company in October 2008 to relaunch the digital-only Jazz FM station having secured a three-year licensing agreement with GMG to use the brand. GMG originally bought Jazz FM from Wheatly and TLRC finance director, Alistair Mackenzie, in 2005 before relaunching it as 102.2 Smooth FM.
Wheatly resigned as a non-executive director of TLRC in order to negotiate a purchase of the station after TLRC announced plans to sell Jazz FM in January following a strategic review of the business.
