
Megson, , will be responsible for all of ’s campaigns and will manage a team of 93 members of staff. He will officially start in his role on 5 January 2015.
GPJ has been searching for a new managing director since July 2014, to pursue new opportunities.
Kevin Jackson, vice-president of GPJ EMEA, told Event: "The reality is the industry is changing, and we want GPJ to be at the forefront of it. Jason represents this new era of experiential marketing.
"Microsoft recently said that there is no longer a differentiation between B2B and B2C, and the same creativity, speed and flexibility of consumer campaigns needs to be incorporated into our own predominantly business events. These are the sorts of campaigns that Jason has a wealth of experience working on."
Megson said it felt like an exciting time to join the business, with the agency celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2014. "For this role there is an opportunity to lead a really talented group of people," he added. "In 2015 we will build on the momentum from the previous year in order to widen our portfolio and win new clients through innovative creative ideas that deliver tangible results for brands."
He will also be focusing on exploiting the agency's digital capabilities to create more user-centric and data-driven experiences.
