Floating venue operator Woods' Silver Fleet has revealed it has formed a catering partnership with Jamie Oliver's Fabulous Feasts.

Jamie’s team will take over catering on the fleet’s two ships – the Silver Sturgeon and the Royal Nore – from Rhubarb Food and Events on 16 August.

Rhubarb’s contract with the firm came to an end with the .

"When Rhubarb Food Design entered into an agreement with Woods' Silver Fleet we agreed that the contract would automatically terminate if the Silver Barracuda was sold. This was necessary because without the revenue generated by the Silver Barracuda, the contract would no longer be in Rhubarb's financial interests," explained its managing director PB Jacobse.

"We have enjoyed working with the Woods family over the past four years and wish them every success in their new venture," he added. "Meanwhile Rhubarb will continue to cater onboard Merlin’s London Eye Barracuda and at events across the UK."

Woods’ design and development director Kate Woods told Event the new offering will be "much more interactive" with live food displays.

"We all came to the decision that the vibe in the industry was to go for this very relaxed luxury feel, and Jamie won the contract," she said.
