Felix Bräutigam, who joined JLR last November from Porsche as chief marketing officer, becomes chief commercial officer, and will lead a new commercial function covering customer experience, product marketing, market performance, customer service, planning and regional operations.
Global PR communications director Fiona Pargeter is being promoted to the new role of customer experience director, in which she will add marketing communications, experiential marketing and customer insight to her current PR remit.
Global communications director Anthony Bradbury, meanwhile, becomes UK marketing director.
JLR did not comment when asked on what impact the changes will have on global head of advertising Ian Armstrong, who previously reported in to Bradbury – but a spokesman said further changes may be announced in due course.
In his new role, Bradbury will report to new UK regional director Rawdon Glover, who was previously global customer service director.
Finbar McFall continues his position as product marketing director, with an increased remit for new business models.
Bräutigam said: "This restructuring brings key functions together, making us fit for the future and enabling us to delight customers, strengthen our brands, define outstanding products and drive success – success derived from better responding to our customers’ needs that are changing as quickly as the communications landscape is being revolutionised.
"I am certain that these adjustments to the way we do business will better prepare us to face increasing external challenges but also to seize new opportunities as we over-proportionally invest in new products and technologies. In this we are driven by one goal: creating experiences that our customers will love for life."
