ITV will transform Saturday evening football coverage by screening highlights programme, 'The Premiership', at 7pm.
There will also be a second extended and updated programme in the evening, but the timing is as yet unknown.
Des Lynam, Terry Venables, Ally McCoist will host the 7pm show.
Brian Barwick, ITV's controller of sport, said: "The Premiership in the Saturday peak-time schedule is a pioneering and ambitious move for televised football.
"Our main programme is in position A and no longer a late-night preserve."
