iTunes strikes ad-funded deal with ITV2

Under the deal, which also involves Endemol company Initial, iTunes will pay for production costs for ITV2's coverage of the iTunes Festival: London Live, which will host 60 gigs over 31 days at Koko in Camden.

ITV2 will screen 15 programmes showcasing live performances from the festival's biggest acts, with ITV1 broadcasting weekly highlights shows. Each live gig will be recorded and sold exclusively as live audio albums on all 22 iTunes Stores worldwide.

The deal was brokered by New State, a division of Endemol UK that is dedicated to securing partnerships with leading brands.

This year's iTunes festival will feature Paul Weller, The Feeling, The Zutons, Guillemots and Feeder, as well as the Ting Tings, CSS, Sam Sparro and Taio Cruz.

As well as performances, ITV2's coverage will include interviews with celebrity guests and comedy acts from the exclusive iTunes Festival Lounge.
